Project Overview

This section explains how you can set up independent cloud environments and integrate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to support the development of applications, such as SaMDs or other types of applications.

The My Projects page is where you will find all the tools for managing your projects and folders. You can use this page to:

  • Request a new project (admins can create projects directly)
  • See a summary of all your projects
  • Make changes to your current projects

Admins have the flexibility to create and manage multiple projects within the same folder. To ensure security, only users who have been onboarded to your tenant can be added to projects. When Admins grant a user access to a project, they also automatically receive access to the folder containing that project.

What You Can Do with My Projects

Project Management Features: You can use the My Projects page to perform essential project operations and maintain organized development environments:

  • Request New Projects: You can request new project environments tailored to your development needs
  • Monitor Project Status: You can track the progress and current state of all your projects

Administrative Capabilities: Admins can perform the following project management actions:

  • Create projects directly without requiring approval
  • Approve or reject project creation requests from team members
  • Manage user access across all tenant projects
  • Configure project default settings and structure projects within folders for better organization
  • Monitor resource usage across all projects
  • Modify project configurations and permissions as needed

Project Security and Access Control

Security Features:

  • Only users who have been properly onboarded to a tenant can access projects
  • Project access automatically includes folder-level permissions
  • Role-based access controls ensure appropriate permission levels
  • Audit trails track all project activities and changes

Access Management: Admins can control who has access to their projects by:

  • Adding approved tenant members to project teams
  • Removing users when their access is no longer needed
  • Managing permissions at both project and folder levels
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational security policies
